This is someone else's picture of a early 60s Silvertone "Jupiter" guitar. This is the very first guitar that I began playing on. The story goes: My Dad (Chuck Harp) came home one day, when I was in the 4th grade, and placed this guitar, a Silvertone amp and a mic in front of me and said, "If you can learn to play and sing two songs in one month I'll give you all this. WOW! Mom bought me a Mel Bay Book and I learned not only two songs but more in a month. And after the 30 days were up, I said, "Dad look I can sing you two songs and play them..." He just said, "Oh, that's fine Eddie, I've been hearing you all this time...They're yours!" That's what got me started back in the early 60s.
Since then I've owned too many guitars to count and sold some off as well. Currently I have a few nicer specimens that I play at home and at Church.
